Covid-19 Information

 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, shipping has become a little more complex than what we have been conditioned to expect. Here are couple of things you need to know about shipping:

1) UPS (and all other carriers) has suspended their “Service Guarantee during the Covid-19 outbreak. What does this mean? According to UPS, while most packaged will still be delivered within the expected delivery time (ie: 2 days for 2-Day Air, or next day for Next Day Air), they will no longer guarantee delivery within the expected time frame and they will not refund shipping fees paid due to failure to deliver within the expected time frame.

What you can expect from us:

We will always package and prepare your items for shipping as soon as possible, and will have them ready to pickup by the carrier.

What we can do to help:

If your shipment has already been issued a tracking number, but UPS has not yet picked it up, we can change the shipping to a faster method however you will be required to pay the difference in cost.

What is our out of our Control:

When UPS picks up. While we have a scheduled pickup by UPS every business day, due to manpower shortages, there have been, and for the foreseeable future will be, days where they do not pick up. This can and will create delays in all shipping methods, including Air shipping.

When UPS delivers. Clearly different regions of the country currently have more or less restriction on movement, more or less sick folks who may or may not be able to work. Once a package has been shipped, we cannot change the shipping method to get it there faster or slower. UPS will not allow this, and will not make exception.

Refunds for delayed shipping once UPS has picked up. UPS is not refunding shipping costs. UPS will not make an exception.

2) Freight Shipping is also experiencing service delays. Part of this is due to a shortage of available trucks, which has been ongoing for the last year or so, and a shortage of healthy drivers and dock workers. There are also expected delays caused by restrictions put in place by various states limiting the movement of vehicles from one state to another.

We ship Monday through Friday except for the following:

Office Closed / No Shipping

  • New Year’s Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day

If the holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday is usually observed. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, Friday is usually observed.

Orders that are placed before 1:00 PM on the day before a holiday will be processed/shipped on the same day. Orders that are placed after 1:00 PM will be processed/shipped on the following business day.

Orders that are placed before 1 PM on December 23th, 2019 will be processed/shipped on the same day

No shipping between December 24th to December 25th, 2019

Shipping will resume on December 26th, 2019

Orders that are placed before 1 PM on December 30th, 2019 will be processed/shipped on the same day

No shipping between December 31st, 2019 to January 1st, 2020

Shipping will resume on January 2nd, 2020

The warehouse that stocks the following products will be closed from December 13th 2019 to January 5th 2020. Orders placed for these products during the holiday shut down will begin shipping on January 6th 2020.

No, we sell to do-it-yourselfers every day!

HOW IT SHIPPING CALCULATED?

Shipping is automatically calculated using several different factors, including package weight, dimensions, delivery location, and shipping location. If you believe that your quoted shipping in incorrect, please contact us and we will calculate the lowest rate manually.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP? WHERE FROM?

We ship from many locations across the US depending on the product and proximity to you. There are several things that effect when your order ships. If it's a standard "stock" item (tools, fasteners, gutter products, etc, it will usually ship within 1-3 business days of your order. 

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY TRACKING NUMBER?

We can usually provide tracking numbers (you will be notified via the email you provided) within one business day of your order shipping. In some cases this may mean that your package may arrive before you receive the tracking number.

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

Shipping costs depend on your location and weight of the item(s). We utilize the netParcel shipping gateway to calculate shipping costs.

Sales Tax? Why am I being charged?

We are required to collect sales taxes for several states, including Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, North Carolina and Washington due to the Supreme Court's South Dakota vs. Wayfair Decision.

When will my order ship?
